We have some exciting plans for the redevelopment of the old Mechanics Institute / Church Gate Centre into a fully-accessible, multi-use Community Centre.
We’re holding some events to help raise funds to meet the costs. Please get involved.
Charity Booksale
Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th October, the church will be open from 10am-4pm.
We’re going to be selling second-hand books – as many as we can! And you can help:
- Please give generously – books can be dropped off at the church any morning.
- We need a good team of volunteers to sort the book and help collect funds and serve refreshments on the day.
- Come along and bring your friends!
Charity Abseil
Are you up for something a bit different? Would you like to abseil down the tower of St Mary’s Church?
Join us on Saturday 9th October – from 10am to 4pm.
Details are being confirmed with the professional climbing company who will be operating the ropes. Bookings will be available from Wednesday 14th September.
