Our historic church building has dominated the landscape of this part of South Leicestershire for over 800 years. It is renowned for its former Rector, John Wycliffe, who first translated the Bible into English in the 14th century, and became a centre for mission through him.
Our mission statement is “All about Jesus”. We acknowledge the great work of all who have served the Church here in former generations and we strive to remain a centre for mission: to proclaim Jesus Christ crucified, risen and ascended. Our strong desire is that future generations will continue to carry the banner of faith in Jesus as Lord and Saviour and build up his Church.
Church Guide
We have a guide available which explains some of the history of the building, as well as how it’s used today.
