Foodbank

The Lutterworth & Villages Foodbank provides emergency food and supplies to individuals and families in the Harborough and Blaby district areas who are experiencing financial crisis. We offer a three-day supply of nutritionally balanced food and also signpost clients to other agencies for additional support.

Individuals need to be referred to the foodbank by a local agency such as Citizens Advice Bureau, GP, local schools, or St Mary’s Church Office.

The foodbank is run by St Mary’s Church Lutterworth, and donations of food and money can be given through the church. There is a food collection point just inside the door at St Mary’s Church, which is accessible every morning (10 and to 12 noon).

Current needs include items like tinned meat, laundry and cleaning items, UHT milk, and various tinned meals. Please do not give perishable items, as they go off before they can be distributed.

You might also like to give time to collecting and processing food parcels or helping distribute food. Money given to the Foodbank is held in a restricted fund and every pound you give is used for the work of the Foodbank.
